Sorry again for any offence caused, it really was not intended. We never thought about it in that context at all its just something our mother said.
“SINCE YOU HAVE MENTIONED (TWICE) IT WAS YOUR MOTHER WHO REFERENCED PIT BULLS FIGHTING IN THE RING AS THE REASON YOU BELIEVED IT A NON ISSUE TO PRINT THIS ON PACKAGING, WE MUST ALSO MENTION THAT YOU WERE MADE AWARE SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE YEARS BY PEOPLE THAT THE CONTENT WAS DAMAGING AND YET NO CHANGES WERE MADE. THIS SAID, WE WILL FOCUS ON TODAY AND THAT YOU ARE NOW WILLING TO MAKE A POSITIVE CHANGE AND SEEM TO HAVE GAINED SOME UNDERSTANDING OF THE SERIOUSNESS OF WHAT WAS WHAT YOUR PACKAGING PERPETUATED. WE COMMEND YOU FOR YOUR WILLINGNESS TO LISTEN AND LEARN.”
Just to let you know I have already instructed the designer this morning to change the pack that shouldn’t take long, the minute we get the design back we will send it straight to print. Unfortunately there is a time lag on that because the packaging has to get scheduled for production and then shipped in from Turkey, it normally takes around 10 weeks.
“EXCELLENT. WHEN DO YOU ANTICIPATE ACTUAL DISTRIBUTION? 3 MONTHS?”
As soon as we receive the new film we will start to use it and destroy the old film.
“EXCELLENT. WILL YOU BE RECALLING THE OLD LABLED PRODUCT? OR WILL THOSE CONTINUE TO BE DISTRIBUTED? IF SO, HOW LONG WILL THOSE CONTINUE TO BE IN CIRCULATION?”
This process is very expensive but it’s our mistake and we are going to fix it, the only real concern is that we are delisted in the meantime, which I hope we are not (any help there would be appreciated). “WE HAVE BEEN AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE 100% TRANSPARENT ABOUT YOUR EFFORTS WITH OUR SUPPORTERS. WE WILL BE POSTING THIS CORRESPONDENCE WORD FOR WORD FOR THEM TO SEE AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO. MANY OF THEM WILL BE THRILLED TO SEE THEIR EFFORTS AND VOICES WERE HEARD AND AS A RESULT YOU’RE CERTAIN TO GAIN POSITIVE ATTENTION.”
Unfortunately This phrase is on a lot of our packaging, nothing that was printed in the past two years but there is such long lead times and runs with packaging there tends to be a serious time delay on implementing change. This is exaggerated because we are small so we would not clear packaging through very quickly.

PERHAPS DOING THAT MAY BE HELP UNDO THE DAMAGE CAUSED OVER THE YEARS AND PERHAPS THE KIDS AND ADULTS WHO WERE FIRST EXPOSED TO PIT BULL TERRIERS BY YOUR LABEL CAN LEARN AND SEE THE OTHER SIDE, WHICH IS THE TRUTH. LET US KNOW IF THERE IS ANY WAY WE CAN HELP WITH POSITIVE IMAGES AND EDUCATION. WE ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO DO SO AS THEIR IS AN ABUNDANCE OF POSITIVE AN AMAZING THINGS ABOUT THIS BREED.”
On a personal level, I had no idea these sort of abuses were happening with pit bulls, so my brother and I discussed it and we are going to add pit bulls to the cause’s that we work with. We currently have great relationships with Cancer groups and do as much as we can locally for the homeless and those in need, generally we try to do it in a way that fits with the light hearted family nature of the brand, so we will add Pit bulls to this and see if we can do something that will highlight their plight. “THIS IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. WHEN YOU HAVE ADDED PIT BULLS TO YOUR CAUSES WE WILL HAPPILY ANNOUNCE THAT ALONG WITH PROVIDING OUR SUPPORTERS THE INFORMATION TO THE GROUP YOU ARE BENEFITTING. THE ABUSE OF PIT BULL TERRIERS IS ONE OF EPIC PROPORTIONS. THEY ARE ARGUABLY THE MOST TARGETED, ABUSED AND DISCRIMINATED ANIMAL ON EARTH. THE MEDIA HAS PERPETUATED NEGATIVE UNTRUTHS FOR OVER 3 DECADES IN AMERICA AND CONTINUE TO DO SO EVERY DAY. FEAR BASED IGNORANCE HAS COST AND CONTINUES TO COST MILLIONS OF INNOCENT PIT BULL TERRIERS THEIR LIVES. PIT BULL TERRIERS AND “PIT BULL TYPE” DOGS ARE PULLED FROM LOVING HOMES. PEOPLE ARE BEING FORCED TO MOVE TO DIFFERENT CITIES AND COUNTIES SIMPLY BECAUSE THEIR DOG “LOOKS” LIKE A PIT BULL TERRIER. THE DOG FIGHTING EPIDEMIC IS BIGGER NOW THAT EVER BEFORE. THEY ARE FIGHTING THEM IN TRUNKS OF CARS, IN BASEMENTS, HIKING TRAILS, BEHIND GROCERY STORES, IN BACK WOODS, IN CITY STREES, IN UHAULS…..EVERYWHERE. DOG FIGHTING IS BARBARIC AND HORRIFIC AND THE TORTURE DOES NOT END THERE. THE ABUSE THESE DOGS ENDURE BEFORE AND AFTER BEING FORCED TO FIGHT IS UNTHINKABLE. THIS IS A VERY REAL PROBLEM AND VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM AND THE PEOPLE WHO VOICED THEIR OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS TO YOUR COMPANY REGARDING THE PERPETUATION OF THIS HORROR ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE FIGHTING TO END ABUSE AND DISCRIMINATION AND WHO SEE THEIR PIT BULL TERRIERS AS MEMBERS OF THEIR FAMILY. AS A FAMILY MAN YOURSELF, I’M SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THE WANT AND NEED TO PROTECT YOUR LOVED ONES. WE ARE HAPPY TO PROVIDE YOU WITH AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE ON THE REALITIES THIS BEAUTIFUL BREED FACE EVERY DAY. WE CAN PROVIDE YOU WITH WAYS YOU CAN HELP AND BY DOING SO WILL HELP CREATE SAFE AND HUMANE COMMUNITIES FOR HUMANS AND PETS.

Thanks for the effort you made with the responses below. I really appreciate the time you have given this.
To answer your questions:
3 months should be ample time for the Aerlingus packaging.
Regarding the other packaging, I have one of the lads in here doing an assesement to see how long it will take, anything that is too long we will trash. Also i wanted to show you in the attachment the new story we use on all our retail boxes, which came out this year.
