We learned about precious Maggie from Instagram’s @Noelaniig, who ranks as one of our favorite fosters on earth. Below is a update on our sweet meatball!!

Maggie was originally raised in a giant family, but once their father went to jail, this sweet girl was dropped off at the shelter. She was due for euthanasia because the shelter, like many out there, was overcrowded and out of space. A good person decided to pull her because she saw what a sweet heart Maggie is, and that she needed another shot at life. Her temporary owner tried finding her a home, but didn’t have much luck doing everything on her own. She ended up having a serious family emergency, so Bay Area Bullies stepped up to help.
While in her new foster home, she has flourished into a confident and well-rounded family/ pack member. I learned that Maggie had a growth on her bum that caused her to bleed, which has never seemed to affect her happiness, but is unhealthy and dangerous nonetheless. At around 3-4 years old, Maggie still hasn’t found her forever home, which makes her medical past unknown and basically non-existent to us. At this point in time, we do not know if the growth is cancerous or not; however, because of the Stand Up For Pits Foundation, Maggie is able to get a full biopsy, vet care, and the surgery she needs. Soon we will know exactly what we are dealing with.
Once her health issues are all adequately tended to, Maggie will be ready for adoption through Bay Area Bullies Rescue. She is super social with dogs, kids, and people of all sorts. She isn’t the most active dog, and is quite content with a daily walk and playtime in the yard. Maggie loves belly rubs, and will happily snort herself to sleep in your lap. She is learning her basic commands, and is showing progress everyday. If you would like to add this big baby to your family please email [email protected]. BABR does NOT adopt out of state. (BABR is in process of becoming a non-profit)
While Maggie is still in search of her forever family, we are so happy to be apart of her journey, we thank the Stand Up For Pits Foundation and we know Maggie is thankful too!
