Donation Drives have now been added to Stand Up For Pits events and will continue to be part of the events. In just two cities we have collected thousands of dollars worth of items shelters are in desperate need of. We have found that people are very willing to donate things and are even happy to be getting rid of the items!
All it takes it contacting your local shelters website, going in or calling and asking them specifically what they need. Some shelters need different things and can only accept certain items. We have collected, leashes, collars, food, blankets, towels, beds, toys…etc. If you aren’t able to donate items check to see if that facility has an amazon wish list.
Shelter deserve to live their days in more comfortable conditions and it is absolutely something we can help with.
Simply set a day, create a poster with items needed, the shelter’s benefitting, drop off location address and the date. Be sure to give yourself 6-8 weeks to get the word out, grab a couple volunteers with trucks and BAM! You will make a much needed change for deserving souls in need.
If you or your group decides to do a donation drive, we will gladly share your poster as well as the photo you send of all the items you collected!
