HuffPost Pitbulls

While it’s important to share, tag and crosspost, it is equally important to know exactly what message you’re sharing, tagging and crossposting. Not everyone is going to agree with every word or post made by everyone all the time but it is how it’s handled, especially in the “Pitbull community” that matters. In the new Huffington Post piece out today, Rebecca Corry, shares a few brief thoughts on keyboard warrior “advocates.”

The SUFP Foundation has zero interest in expressing our individual “opinions” about the content of the video featured in this article. The others quoted in this article do a wonderful job and make educated and factual points. The video is not something we feel deserves our attention and time or the attention and time of our supporters. Our focus is and will remain on ending abuse, discrimination and saving lives and we will post what we feel supports our mission. We believe in advocating and educating in ways that will inspire people to take action and become part of solutions thus, creating change.

What we will comment on, however, and encourage others to be mindful of is to not abuse the social media platform by attacking fellow advocates for not posting what you demand them to post because you think it’s “cute” and then back up that shameful behavior in the name of Pitbulls. It reflects poorly on the breed and makes what is already a very difficult cause that much harder.
