We are very disappointed to report the SUFP Foundation was made aware of THREE imposter pages on Facebook using our name, mission and Angel’s image to sell merchandise. We deal with wingnuts on a regular basis but this is beyond vile. We are OUTRAGED to learn people are stealing from others buying merchandise because they truly believe it’s going to us. Equally deplorable are the people we’ve caught selling shirts, cards and bracelets in our name and painting, copying and printing Angel’s image all without permission so as to garner funds and/or exposure. People who piggy back a cause to build their business and forward their personal agenda are repulsive. What’s happening to Pitbull type dogs is emotional and to take advantage of people devastated by it is intolerable. We understand everyone has the right to make a living and not everyone needs to become a nonprofit in order to effectively advocate, educate and save lives BUT be forthright with your intentions. Misleading, lying and stealing nonprofit’s and other people’s images of their dogs, campaigns and intellectual property is not only unlawful, it’s fucking pathetic. Last year SUFP was forced to serve cease and desist letters to idiots who went on an internet slander campaign for a YEAR making unlawful allegations, threats and literally private messaged supporters one by one encouraging them to “take us down” among other horrible things. Now we’re forced to waste more time dealing with human garbage taking advantage of honest people trying to help save Pitbulls who believe they’re entitled to steal ANGEL’s image, our intellectual property and our name for their own personal profit. We will not be victimized or detoured from our mission to save lives and will continue to take action and encourage the other groups and individuals also dealing with this shit to do the same. Our goal is to end abuse, discrimination and SAVE LIVES. All our effort should ONLY be on that, not wasted on scum bags looking for internet fame and criminals taking money in the name of Pitbulls who are suffering and dying every day. Be sure who you donate to and what you buy is legitimate and if someone is hurting the cause, TAKE ACTION. Lives are depending on it. #standupforpits
