A couple of weeks ago our friend Noelani (@noelaniig on Instagram) posted a baby hippo (she later that day named Cora) who’d been found on the side of street. Right away Noelani took action as did Fresno Bully Rescue knowing the puppy had parvo and that funds and care would be needed immediately.  The SUFP Foundation donated $1000 right away to help with the treatment of this little one who’d already defied the odd’s by finding herself in the hands of Noelani. We are so thankful we were able to provide help in this urgent situation but unfortunately sweet Cora passed away but we and everyone who did what they could should take comfort in knowing she was given the very best chance. We don’t always post every single time we help groups, individuals and dogs out but it’s important to remind and thank you all for your support and how it allows us to step up in situations like this and many others.  Often times people and groups shy away from high medical needs cases because of all that goes with it and as sad and frustrating as that is, it’s also understandable. Funds are always low, there are never enough fosters and there are so many lives needing to be saved so we want to take a minute to thank Fresno Bully Rescue for their willingness to help this baby and so many others with special needs as well as other groups like Ghetto Rescue Priceless Pet Rescue and Downtown Dog Rescue to name a few who step up when it’s not easy.  And thank you to Noelani for her dedication and willingness to take the action needed to save lives.  So glad baby Cora got to know Noelani before she left.  Keep up the great work everyone and thank you for standing up for Pibbles. *please consider becoming a foster for your local rescue* #standupforpits
