We LOVE to hear updates about how our grants, donations and Foundation helps save and change lives and so I want to share this ray of sunshine and story of hope from Bully Paws Rescue with you all!

“Bully Paws Rescue partnered with an amazing, completely force-free, trainer/behaviorist and many of you know the type of financial burden that can be, especially with 10 or 15 dogs. That’s the position we found ourselves in back in March. Dogs, get returned, adoptions don’t work out, and dogs, as they grow can develop behavioral issues. That’s just the way rescue works sometimes and is probably one of the most challenging things we face as a rescue. Though we have some of the best, most amazing fosters ever, there’s not a waiting list of foster homes eager to take in a dog with issues or that needs some work. The ones that are willing, usually have no space because these dogs take longer to get adopted.

We’ve now been focused on the new training program for three months and nearly all of our dogs in need of training have been evaluated and many of the training plans have been formulated. Some of the dogs will need ongoing sessions with the trainer and some will continue their training with our volunteers based on the methods we’ve been given during the evaluations. Working with a potentially un-adoptable dog and watching it make a transformation right before your eyes is one of the most rewarding experiences one can have.

A huge thank you to the Stand Up For Pits Foundation, Rebecca Corry and especially, Angel without whom none of this would be possible. We heart emoticon You!

Here are a couple of dogs that are currently enrolled on our training program and who are benefitting from the SUFP Foundation grant!

Mariah -is 5 years old and she’s been with Bully Paws for 3 YEARS! She does okay with some male dogs but would prefer to be an only dog. She’s a water baby, loves swim time and is very good with people and the kids she’s met and/or lived with.

Memphis – is 6 years old and is currently in boarding waiting for a foster home. She can be dog reactive when over stimulated. AMAZING with people and children.”-BULLY PAWS
