We don’t think every time something is accomplished it needs to be known but we’re sharing this heartfelt letter from this amazing woman about her dog Jacky Brown and how the Stand Up For Pits Foundation helped him/them because as you all know, this ain’t an easy cause and at times can seem like a never ending nightmare but stories like this inspire me and I think it may inspire you too. Thank you to those who support the SUFP Foundation and our mission.

“Jackie is a 14 1/2 year old Pibble type rescue dog and he would not be alive today if it weren’t for the phenomenal Stand Up For Pits Foundation. My Jack aka Jacky Brown has had some prior mild heart problems and needed his yearly exam at his Cardiologist. The test required were very costly and at this time I do not have the means. I reached out and asked for help, which is not easy for me to do explaining the situation and cost involved and the Stand Up For Pits Foundation approved the grant I needed to get Jack the care he required. Without the grant, Jack would not be here. Jack now has Advanced Heart Disease with evidence of possible early Congestive Heart Failure. His heart has doubled in size and there was a tiny bit of fluid in his lungs. The Cardiologist said if Jack had not been in within the next 3 days I could have lost him. The tests that were done showed he desperately needed two new medications in order to live; one to keep the fluid out of his lungs and one to help his heart pump stronger. I’m THRILLED to say on the new meds he is doing GREAT! Here he is yesterday enjoying a beautiful California day! The SUFP Foundation gave me the best gift I have ever gotten and that is more time with my heart and soul and my life, Jack. I’m forever grateful.”-Dana Goodman
