Every day is National Pit Bull Awareness Day to us and will continue to be until the senseless discrimination, needless deaths and heinous acts of violence against these inherently good dogs ends.

There is not a dog on earth more dangerous than a human being and it is humans who are responsible for every single “incident” or injustice that happens to these dogs.

Realistically we should all be celebrating a day deemed “National Animal Abuser Awareness Day” and on this day law makers and city officials would review facts and truths and improve laws that would better protect the humans and pets in the communities they serve. On this day educated advocates would be given a public platform to discuss the direct correlation between animal abusers and other crimes and offer solutions as to how to end backyard breeding, catch abusers and offer different ways to prevent millions of animals from dying in shelters every year. Perhaps by deeming a day “National Abuser Awareness Day”, society would finally take a moment to learn the truth and stop victimizing the victims and start holding humans accountable for negligent and violent behavior.

Until that day happens, we will continue to raise awareness on this day and every day. #standupforpits #nationalpitbullawarenessday
