The top photo is a thank you card filled with encouraging and kind words sent to us from Ghetto Rescue. Bottom left is a letter from the Director of Los Angeles County shelters thanking us for the shelter supplies tons of amazing humans donated this year at LA’s Stand Up For Pits. Bottom right is a letter from Wallace The Pit Bull Foundation. Roo Yori is President of the Foundation and was the proud dad to the late great Hector (rescued from the horrors of Michael Vick’s dogfighting operation). Roo’s foundation donated a $1000 grant to the SUFP Foundation in support or our dogfighting tip line efforts and overall mission.

Letters like these and the many we get from individuals and groups around the country inspire us and we hope it inspires you. The SUFP Foundation, Ghetto Rescue, County Shelter services and the Wallace Foundation are all very different. We have different strengths, jobs and focusses but letters like these are a great reminder of what can be accomplished when we work together and support each other. There is power when we unite our voices and actions.

There’s no time to tolerate those who take energy and focus away from dogs in need by criticizing, judging or attacking others who are doing all they can to help. Voiceless, innocent lives are literally hanging in the balance and those lives is where the focus should always be.

Friendly reminder, steer clear of humans with bad intentions and keep reaching out, helping, partnering with and supporting groups and individuals who keep it about the dogs and the work.

Good people who want to help are the majority and while I greatly admire, respect and applaud individual efforts, it’s also important to remember the strength and tremendous results that can be had when we all work together.
