Sadly so many dogs are abandoned at shelters by their owners this time of year. Some believe it’s because their owners don’t want to pay to board their pets when they go away for the holidays. No matter the “reason” it is simply unconscionable that anyone could do this let alone “laugh” at the devastated dog they are doing it to.
Jack is one of the lucky ones but many dogs like Jack never het out. This is another great reason to consider becoming an approved foster in 2016. Fostering dogs buys them time and gets them out the shelter. Many times that’s all they need to get the second chance they deserve. Fostering, if you’re not able to adopt, is a very effective way to help save lives.
