Yesterday the SUFP Foundation provided a donation to an Oregon based rescue called Northwest Dog Project that was needed in order to get this precious hippo out of the Baldwin Park Shelter, into boarding and then up to Oregon!!
Big thanks to Candice aka @roofusandkilo for sharing her photo and story which made us aware of her, for NWDP for taking her on and for all of you who support the SUFP Foundation which allows us to help groups and dogs nationwide and do all the other things we do. Together, we are saving and changing lives!!

“We are thrilled to announce that with the help of all of you wonderful folks the sweet girl we posted this morning will be joining the NWDP pack!
We’ve chosen the name Angel for her in honor of all of her amazing angel’s. ???????????????? She will be spayed tomorrow and leaving the shelter!!!! Angel will stay in a great boarding facility where she will be safe and well-cared for until she can make the trip up to Oregon to join us at the rescue.
We would like to give a very special thank you to the amazing @rebeccacorry and the @standupforpitsfoundation for stepping up for Angel and covering her boarding and transport, you guys ROCK!!! We also want to thank each and every one of you that sent a donation in, your support and generosity is incredible and greatly appreciated. We are down to our last bags of food at the rescue right now so the donations received will allow us to stock back up on food so we can keep the rescue dogs in our care well-fed, happy and healthy! We’d also like to thank the awesome @roofusandkilo crew and all of our amazing supporters who took the time to share Angels plea for help, it’s amazing what can happen when we all work together! ❤️????
