Today we received this desperate plea from Jenny who owns Banksy. Banksy is a year and half  and has developed separate and anxiety issues which has recently presented some negative behavior and now he needs a new home with someone who understands and can responsibly handle him.  This family loves him and is currently working with a trainer but feel it’s not been effective and are asking for help as they feel they are not the right family for Banksy. So, we are posting in hopes that someone may be able to offer suggestions, solutions or any help that would get this guy into a home better suited for his needs. Contact information is listed below. Thank you!

Dear SUFP Foundation,

“We got Banksy when he was 6 months from a couple that called
themselves travelers. He was sweet, adorable and loving. All those
attributes were great but we quickly learned he had major separation
anxiety and shred his way through anything including his cage. So
being alone was clearly a big issue for us to concur but recently he
turned 1.5 years and the normally friendly Banksy began being
aggressive towards men who entered our house or even stood near us. He
has since bit 4 men. Our house is one
that has a constant flow of people and kids and ultimately my husband
said he cannot deal with a dog that bites and feels that euthanasia is the next step.
Instead of this finality I am truly asking for help and I’m hopeful that in doing so, there is a family or person
that is the right fit for him. Ultimately Banksy is super loving and
cuddly. He loves chasing the ball, is great with other dogs and has lots of energy. He
plays rough but in fun and loves to play with all the dogs at the doggie kennel during the days
and he does great! So please if there is a family that can take on the
temperament of Banksy responsibly and be
dedicated to nurturing and loving to him, I would be forever
grateful.”
