We spent almost 3 hours with a certain precious hippo by the name of Sally yesterday. We set up all her beds and fuzzy blankets outside and they wheeled the hippo queen out to us.
All things considered she was in great spirits. Her will is stronger than ever and her kindness and gentleness is absolutely amazing, even after all this. She lets everyone lift her up and move her around, takes her pills and she never once seemed bothered by any of it.
The staff absolutely loves her and dotes and on her and so far, all things are going well with her recovery. She’s eating and drinking and alert and is set to be discharged on Saturday. We will be sharing all the details and updates on that as it happens.
It takes a village and Sally has an amazing village behind her making sure she will get through this. ❤️
