Sally is now officially in surgery. They did another ultrasound of the now four swollen lymph nodes so the surgeon could better pin point them should she decide to take them out. She said she will most likely remove them so as to remove as much potential disease as possible. Surgery is expected to last between 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
This photo is upsetting and I don’t and never will see a “lesson” in what’s happening to Sally. But this photo is a reminder that what Sally has and continues to go through is a direct result of neglect, abuse and overbreeding/inbreeding. She is 2 years old with new knees, bad hips, bad teeth an overbred beat up body with skin and mast cell disease. She is extremely emotional and sensitive and I absolutely believe living in a fearful and terrified state of mind contributes to illness. Sally was victimized by humans, as so many of them are and she would have died alone in a shelter never knowing, Todd, love or what being respected feels like unless she was rescued. So again, please do not support breeders, always report neglect, report backyard breeders or abuse of any kind. Go adopt and/or foster a dog, volunteer, donate, advocate and never stop educating people about the importance of spaying and neutering animals and support groups who do free clinics.
I will continue to update you all as I get the info. The results of the surgery today will be known in 2 days. Thank you all for loving Sally. I’m certain she can feel it and is grateful.
