On Nov 16th the SUFP granted the Rescue Train the $5000.00 they needed in order to get to Houston to rescue the dogs in desperate need of help who were being housed in an empty grocery store due to hurricane Harvey. Many of these dogs were very very sick and where they were being housed was getting shut down. They were out of time and became an urgent situation and an incredible effort by all involved.

So often when it’s front page news everyone jumps to donate and share and post (which is great) but after a few days it disappears as does much of the effort and support. It’s important to remember that just because the news cycle moves on (and very quickly) it does not mean the problem is solved. We thank Lisa Beaumont and those who remained and still remain dedicated to the displaced Harvey dogs and for all they’re doing to get them healthy and place them.

Please continue to support all involved fighting for them. Lives are depending on it.
