MONDAY morning the Stand Up For Pits Foundation, Inc will be launching a much needed “Dog in Hot Car” merchandise campaign. Every summer dogs die senseless horrific and 100% preventable deaths because they are left in hot cars.
If it’s 75 degrees outside, it’s 110 degrees in a car. Heat stroke and organ shut down happens in MINUTES followed by a painful and agonizing death.
It is a CRIME in the state of California to leave your dog in a hot car and legal for anyone to smash the window and save the dog.
We urge everyone to carry extra water, bowls, towels and something to smash glass with in your car this summer. You may be that dog’s only chance. It’s also up to us to educate people about how hot cars kill dogs and what to do when you see a dog in a hot car. Wearing these shirts and it’s very direct message, will provide opportunities to educate. The more people reached, the less chance it will happen and if it does a better chance a life will be saved.
These shirts will be available for 10 days only and profits will go directly to the SUFP Foundation. A long hot long summer has began and we must do better.
