Here’s the deal humans. This dog is going to die in the shelter unless he is pulled. He is part of the Stand Up For Pits Foundation, Inc HOPE campaign and Pete and one other dog are the only ones left who need out and need out now.

Pete came into acct Philly as a stray seized on 11/26, was adopted out and returned on 4/27. He came back w a problematic front paw, having trouble putting weight on it. This gorgeous guy is 52 lbs, great kennel presentation, easy to leash, easy on and out of kennel, walks in a very straight line, pulls a little at first but then eases up and eager to get outside. When he was returned 4/27, he came back a little hand shy. He can also be some little timid w men. Some of the volunteers are working on this issue. Go slow was marked on his walk sheet. He allows all handling but can be slightly timid w head touching. He’s a loving and good dog. The adopter said he got along w other dogs in the house but can be selective w dogs he doesn’t know. They also said he was playful and affectionate. I think he was possible returned because of his issues w men.

HE WAS A LITTLE SHY AT FIRST MEETING. VOLUNTEER MENTIONED THAT HE HAD BEEN ADOPTED OUT WITH A FRIENDLY DISPOSTION AND WAS RETURNED 4 MONTHS LATER WITH SLIGHT FEAR OF MEN. HE WARMED UP TO ME WITHIN 3 MINUTES AND WAS LICKING MY FACE. HE SHOWED ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNS OF AGRESSION AND WAS A SWEETHEART.
