Harford MD just wised up and changed the law for pets left in hot cars by morons. This is fantastic to see, however it will not stop people from killing their dogs this summer.
We are only a few days into summer and already we are hearing stories about dogs dying in hot cars. Even if it is 70 degrees outside, that is not what it is in the car and it takes only minutes for dogs to die horrific deaths. Law enforcement cannot be everywhere so it’s up to us to take matters into our own hands.
Glass breaking hammers are available on amazon. Buy a case and hand them out to your community. Give them to grocery store managers. People kill their dogs while grocery shopping all the time. Take the effort to educate people in your communities about this 100% preventable epidemic. If your effort saves even one life, it was worth it. Educating people, providing tools and information as to what to do when they see a dog dying in a car is on us. No one else is going to do it.
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG IN THE CAR. NOT EVEN FOR A MINUTE.
