The first Stand Up For Pits event happened in 2011 at the Hollywood Improv. Then in 2014 Rebecca Corry organized the One Million PIBBLE march on Washington DC. Thousands from all over the US and Canada converged on the US Capitol becoming one loud voice for pit bull type dogs. A movement began, inspired by Angel and continues to grow, inspire, educate, advocate, save and help countless pit bull type dogs nationwide. In 2014 the Stand Up For Pits Foundation, Inc. became a recognized 501c3 and has raised hundreds of thousands of much needed funds for other pit bull type dog nonprofits, helped place dogs in loving forever homes and stocked shelters with supplies through the Stand Up For Pits Donation Drives. The national Spay and Neuter ANGEL DAY initiative has helped thousands of humans and dogs and will literally save millions of lives for years to come. The SUFP Los Angeles county dogfighting tip line is available to the over 10 million Los Angeles and surrounding area residents and continues to help keep communities safer for humans and pets. SUFP supports front line rescue efforts nationwide by providing Angel Grants for dogs in need and the SUFP HOPE CAMPAIGN saves dogs who are out of time at shelters around the country by getting them seen through the brilliant work of Mike Ruiz and our incredible and dedicated supporters. SUFP has garnered domestic and international press and has contributed to changing how our society sees and treats pit bull type dogs. Some of the worlds biggest names in comedy have performed Stand Up For Pits events like Patton Oswalt, John Mulaney, Janeane Garofalo, Rosie O’donell, Jim Gaffigan, Bill Burr, Bob Saget, Adam Sandler, David Spade, Tig Notaro… to name a few. We are proud to say that all the artists who perform and attend do so because the want to. Many don’t even have pit bull type dogs but they understand that abuse and discrimination is wrong. Whether the abused has two legs or four, it is wrong. Every event in ever city has been and continues to be special and different in it’s own way and while we may not have been able to celebrate 10 years of life saving work with all you in person due to Covid this year, we did put together a little variety type show we thought you may enjoy until we can see you again. $14.00 of every rental will go directly to the SUFP Foundation.

We thank and love all of you for your dedication to these perfect dogs and we are honored to be their voice and continue fighting for them for as long as it takes along side of you.

Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all again soon….
