5 days ago we posted this precious mama and her 8 puppies who were on the list to be killed at the shelter. They are now all safe and being fostered and we have provided an $800 Angel Grant to cover the first round of vaccines and fecal tests for the puppies and their deworming. This will also cover the cost of the sweet mama’s spay so she will never have to go through this again.
Spaying and neutering is VITAL and it is desperately needed nationwide. It is a real way to lower shelter intake and kill numbers. The fact that this family and countless more like them are being murdered in shelters is not okay. It’s shameful and 100% preventable and spaying and neutering is a viable solution to helping end the killing. Please support spay & neuter efforts every chance you get. Help your neighbor fix their dog if they don’t have the resources. Donate to spay & neuter efforts. Educate people about spay & neuter and always report backyard breeders. These poor dogs deserve better and spaying and neutering is one very effective answer.
