Thank you American Pit Bull Foundation for acknowledging the work, mission and supporting everything the Stand Up For apits Foundation does to end abuse, discrimination and save the lives of pit bull type dogs. This is not one person’s cause or fight. The Stand Up For Pits Foundation has supporters nationwide and around the world who remain dedicated to these inherently good dogs. There is power in numbers and NO ONE is a hero in animal welfare. When millions of dogs are being tortured, killed, abandoned, bred, sold, fought, dumped at shelters and the list goes on every year — no back pats are deserved. After 16 years of tireless work, it is shameful where things are in animal welfare. Famous orgs bringing in HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of dollars – taking salaries over $520k, flying private jets, celebrity bungalows and spending 40 million on advertising while dogs in shelters are getting one meal per day, no clean water or beds, locked in filthy cells for months and then being slaughtered all while claiming to be heroes is about as sick as it gets. I will keep fighting for the dogs and exposing the truth about the monsters profitting off this horrific crisis they refuse to end. My hope and dream is to shut the Stand Up For Pits Foundation down because there is no need for it. – Rebecca Corry

Rebecca Corry, activist and founder of Stand Up for Pits, brought the fight for pit bull-type dogs into the mainstream public conversation.
Through national rallies, grassroots organizing, stand-up comedy, film tours, and direct investment in rescue operations, she helped mobilize large numbers of supporters and drew national attention to the discrimination pit bull-type dogs face every day.
She didn’t wait for the movement to find her. She built it.
