This is very tough to look at but CANNOT be ignored. this cannot be ignored. The Hesperia Animal Shelter employees who brutally abuse shelter animals need to be arrested and convicted. This is an OUTRAGE. The Hesperia Animal Control Facebook states there will be a supposed investigation in this matter, however we are asking you all to make your voices heard by calling and/or emailing the Hesperia city council and mayor and demand that a full investigation be done and that the results be reported to the public. This is NOT okay and it is up to us to be the voice for those who cannot speak.

“The photo that is circulating on social media appears to have been taken in the Hesperia Animal Shelter. Until the photo was published online, the City had no knowledge of this incident having happened. Rebecca Corry just spoke to Rachel Molina who is the public information officer from the city manager’s office. She stated the photo is allegedly from 2013 taken by an employee. I asked why the photo is just now going viral, Rachel’s answer was “because Victor Valley News published an article http://www.vvng.com/hesperia-animal-shelter-behind-closed-doors-warning-graphic-photo/ on Tuesday night from the anonymous former employee who took the photo. This person states they are reporting it out of an abundance of concern.” Rachel went on to say the city manager, herself of the city council never knew this photo existed but that it was in fact taken at their facility. She went on to say a thorough and new/active investigation has been launched and policies are being reviewed. Rachel went on to say “it is her belief the dog in the photograph is deceased.”
When asked if the names of the people being investigated will be released, she replied, “I don’t know.” She went on to say “I do not anticipate they will but there’s no telling where the investigation will lead. State of California employees have rights.”
Regarding the video that went viral in Feb 2015, she stated “the investigation was conducted by an outside firm and corrective action was taken.”
