This inherently good and beautiful soul is available for adoption and she is extremely special. Sally is about 3 years old, potty trained, good on the leash and loves car rides! She LOVES all humans but is scared of dogs. Sally needs and deserves to be the only hippo of the house and she could not be more gentle. She loves to snuggle and lay on the couch and she loves her treats and food. She is medium to low energy and not a barker. She is fixed, up to date on shots and in great health and located in Los Angeles. This beautiful girl was used by breeders for profit and thrown away like garbage and it’s time she live the rest of her life being respected, loved and protected.

She is not “aggressive” but she is extremely distressed by other dogs and it is not fair to force to try to overcome it. She has been around cats and from what we’ve seen, she just seems REALLY interested and may want to play. The issue is, if that “play” becomes too rough a cat could get hurt and we don’t want that. Our goal is to not set Sally up for failure but to provide her a safe, loving and responsible environment to live the rest of her life. Many times humans feel they need to “make” dogs like other dogs or cats and we completely disagree thinking. Sometimes, dogs are who they are, just like people and it is up the the human to act responsibly and accordingly to that dog’s needs. All living beings are individuals and need to be treated as such.
The language about dogs not liking other dogs or cats being as being “negative” must change. Some of the best dogs on the planet are only dogs and that is a fact. Sally is a loving kind, intelligent and gentle soul and anyone who gets her will have won the lottery of life.
