🍁Last year we saw a video on IG were so inspired by this effort we have decided to do the same! Through the SUFP Creative Activism program “THANKSGIVING FOR ANGELS” will be feeding an estimated 300 animals on Nov 24th at the Lancaster Animal Care Center in Los Angeles County! SUFP is a pit bull type dog specific organization but on this day ALL types of dogs, cats and farm animals will get their own Thanksgiving meal including pumpkin pie & whipped cream! @lartelgphotography and @animalia.tichuphotography photographing will be photographing as many animals as possible so we can help get them seen & saved and SUFP will be interviewing volunteers, showcasing dogs and documenting the entire day which we will then have made into a short film. The goal of this effort is to provide shelter animals extra love, delicious food and reprieve from shelter life while advocating for their rescue and educating the public about this over capacity facility. We hope hope others will be inspired to do this at their shelters, become volunteers, fosters or better yet open their home to animals in need.
🍁While the shelter will be closed Nov 24th to the general public everyone can still be a part of making this massive effort happen. We have created an Amazon Wish List at the link in our BIO (and QR code on the poster) for supplies we need for the event. If you are able to purchase anything off that list, you will be helping tremendously. The shelter will keep all the supplies so they can do this every year! SUFP will be funding all the food to feed an estimated 260 dogs and all the other animals along with enough pie and whipped cream for everyone! In addition we will be funding all production costs. If you’re able to donate any amount to help cover those expenses you can make a tax deductible donation to SUFP on this site!
