15 days ago this precious baby boy we named Finn was crushed by a car, picked up by a good Samaratin and taken to a hospital. His pelvis was broken and he was bleeding internally. The vet contacted the Stand Up For Pits Foundation asking us to save his life because his “owner” stated she did not want him because she has 5 other dogs. We got him transported to a specialty hospital through emergency and once he was stable he had a pretty intense surgery to fix his pelvis. They put a plate in to fix it. His staples are now out but he still needs to be rested for the next four weeks. Just small 5 or 10 minute walks is all he can have until fully healed.
THE SUFP FOUNDATION IS NOT A “RESCUE” SO ON NOVEMBER 1ST – FINN WILL HAVE TO GO TO THE SHELTER IF HE IS NOT ADOPTED OR TAKEN ON BY A FOSTER HOME BASED RESCUE.
SUFP saved his life, funded all his medical care and brand new supplies (crate, beds, bowls, leashes, toys, food etc) and now it is up to others to step up for baby Finn. He is scared and a little shy of the outside world which is understandable. After all, he was crushed by a moving vehicle, abandoned by his owner, went through an intense operation and ownin the home of a stranger. And even after all that Finn is nothing but love. He is getting better at being potty trained and from what we have seen he is good with other dogs and clearly as his “owner” stated he lived with 5 other dogs.
He still needs time to heal so he will need patience. LOCATION – Los Angeles CA, 9 months old, neutered.
If you are out of state wanting to adopt – we will not blindly ship a dog to someone. Please do not email asking us to do that. If you are approved – you would need to come to California to meet him and bring your pets for a meet and greet.
Email info@standupforpits.us if you want to share your life with a unicorn named Finn. Thank you.
