“Thanksgiving For Angels” has been selected into another festival! We are happy another opportunity for this important and needed film to be seen – especially in Los Angeles. The more people who know about the shelter crisis happening in LA CITY and COUNTY shelters – the more can be done to end the needless killing and suffering of shelter animals. Los Angeles city shelters are not “No Kill.” It is a false narrative and an extremely damaging message to send to millions of people who daily dispose of their dogs because they believe the shelter is a safe place to dump their animals. It is not a safe place and no animal should be there. Not even for one minute. LA County shelters are extremely high kill. These shelters lack beds, volunteers are overcrowded and dogs are killed daily. They feed the dogs one meal per day and when distemper outbreaks happen they lack basic supplies like garbage cans and brooms. The Stand Up For Pits Foundation has been serving city and county shelters for 16 years and things are NOT better. Anyone who says that is not educated. Things are worse and it has to change. The treatment of animals in shelters is not acceptable. People dumping animals without concequences is intolerable and to not enforce spay & neuter and allow the selling breeding licenses is unthinkable and shameful.

Our Creative Activism program is a vital one. Educating people with the TRUTH and FACTS is the first step in creating real change and our films are reaching people across the nation and around the world.

Our next film is a feature documentary entitled “Skid Row: A Lawless Hellhole.” This is in prodcution now and will be finished this summer. Contributions are needed for this film. Be part of the change you want to see. Thank you!
