The only reason the animals were seen and talked about at all recently is because for the first time in history candidates who truly care about animals spoke about it and proposed real plans to end it. Not one of those candidates moved forward and after spending time with all of them and hearing their plans, there was – for a moment – hope. That hope is gone and the animals and their suffering will go back to being unseen and ignored. It was more important for people to bitch at each other, call names, attack one another and create move divisiveness instead of all working together for the animals. The behavior of people over the last few months at a time when the animals and their hell was finally being addressed has been pathetic and shameful to watch. Pages telling followers to unfollow other pages because of they don’t align with their political party. Ignorant uneducated celebrities endorsing candidates who condone animal cruelty then restricting comments so their millions of followers won’t learn the truth. Watching friends and supporters attack and unfollow my organization who has served Los Angeles and the nation for 16 years for spending time with a candidate they hate is beyond embarassing disgusting. Animals do not care about anyones politics & neither does the Stand Up For Pits Foundation. We will always work with ANYONE to end suffering and killing. EVERYONE is welcome to fight for voiceless victims alongside us. You will not be judged or attacked based on who you vote for, love, worship – etc. Those who put that bullshit before the animals are no better than those harming and failing them.
We will continue our lawsuit against Karen Bass, LAPD, LA CITY, LA Animal Services and Annette Ramirez for their refusal to help and save the animals in Los Angeles and expect everyone to help.
There is no reason this should be happening in a city with so much money, power and priviledge. NONE. Hopefully one day good humans will be running this city and large orgs will help instead of profitting and lying. Until then do your part to help save lives.
