Precious Tank got some treats and spent two hours with the amazing woman who cut him from his chain. She laid on the floor with him at our vet. He is still very cautious but she was able to touch his nose and they had some great conversation! He’s been afraid to come out of his run but last night that all changed. It is clear this angel has had no human contact for a very long time and has suffered severe trauma at the hands of humans. Everything is new to him. He’s curious and interested but will need time to heal mentally and physically from what he’s endured. He is a very special soul and we all agree he wants to be loved so bad but struggles with trust and rightfully so.
We cannot thank Shivanne enough for her love and dedication to this miracle boy. Her being there and showing him respect and kindness helped heal him. Every positive memory he makes will push the bad ones further away. This precious life deserves a chance and we are going to fight like hell to make sure he gets that and we are going to need everyone’s continued support.
Tanks journey will be a long one so please everyone remain dedicated to him, please donate if you can and keep sharing him. We need a reputable and responsible rescue to step up for Tank and handle his adoption process as well. We will not work with any rescue who ships dogs out of state, sends them to boarding facilities or used punishment training methods. Foster home based reputable rescues only and they must provide constant updates. No exceptions.
Thank you all for loving this Skid Row survivor. The hell he has endured is unthinkable and yet he’s learning to live again. With time, gentleness and love we believe he will finally get the life he has always deserved.
