The unabashed bootlicking Nithya Raman and Karen Bass continue to do with BFAS won’t and never will “Save Them All.” People in Los Angeles pretend to be forward thinking compassionate humans but refuse to even address the torture and mass murder of animals happening in their own backyards. In fact, they attack and diminish those offering plans and solutions to save them. And if they don’t align with their politics – even though animal welfare is a nonpartisan issue – they will humiliate them. So, the suffering and killing continues as people like Jimmy Kimmel vilify pit bull type dogs (the majority of the victims) and the those who love and fight to save them. The hypocrisy and ignorance are beyond shameful and its everywhere. The fact that Hollywood is riddled with money, power, privilege, and influence and literally no one is willing to address the animal crisis in one of the world’s richest and largest cities speaks volumes about the content of their character. It’s odd how the horse carriages in New York, the Yulin dogmeat festival and one dog being shot NOT in an underserved community sparks outrage nationwide but the cruelty and mass killing of animals in on the streets in plain sight and in deplorable “No Kill” shelters continues to be purposely ignored. The mayor of Los Angeles, LA city, Annette Ramirez, LAAS and the LAPD are being sued by a charity because they REFUSE to do their jobs they are PAID to do. Nith and her pals at the LA City council ignore, talk over, and walk out on constituents who are given 60 seconds to beg them for help to end the torture of animals happening blocks from where they sit while collected fat salaries.
It’s all very simple. Enforce the laws and demand accountability of those who refuse. You’re on the right side or history or you’re not and if standing up for animals is not something you can’t do because your job, being relevant or celebrity adjacent or loyal to your political party is more important – then you are no better than those abusing and slaughtering the fucking animals every day in your backyard.
