THEY COULDN’T STOP IT.
After months of filing demurrers and repeatedly trying to get the Stand Up For Pits Foundation lawsuit thrown out, they failed to end the case.
THE LAWSUIT IS MOVING FORWARD.
Claims have survived. The legal process continues. Discovery, evidence, and depositions. People can be required to answer questions under oath about what has happened — and continues to happen — to animals in the City of Los Angeles.
For far too long, animals have suffered in shelters and in plain sight on Los Angeles streets without meaningful accountability being had by those who are paid to protect them. This lawsuit is fighting to change that.
Ignoring the horrors happening to animals — and ignoring those fighting to save them — is intolerable.
We know there is still a lot of fight ahead of us.
We are ready for it.
We look forward to continuing to be a voice for the animals of Los Angeles and fighting for the accountability and change they deserve.
We thank everyone who has supported — and continues to support — this desperately needed fight for the lives of animals in Los Angeles. The case is moving forward, and you are all part of it.
An official statement from the Stand Up For Pits Foundation legal team, with further details, will be coming soon.
They thought they could stop it.
THEY WERE WRONG.
THE STAND UP FOR PITS FOUNDATION STARTED THIS AND WE WILL FINISH IT.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation at any of the links in the BIO to support the fight for the animals in Los Angeles. Checks can be mailed to the foundation as well. Donations are and will continue to be needed until this is over.
Please share this post and all the updates we share about the case moving forward. There is power in numbers.
