We have said this before, we will say it again and we will continue saying it. We want to encourage you all to not engage and/or post pages dedicated to hate speech and ignorance towards our breed or any living thing for that matter. Constantly posting sites, blogs and pages dedicated to hate provides these soul less subhumans with the attention they are demanding. This week alone we have been asked 3 times to share pages filled with horrible content created by uneducated individuals against Pit Bull “type” dogs. The content is so dumb, it’s embarrassing. To be super clear, the answer is and will always be “no.” The SUFP Foundation will proudly forego page “likes” and continue to stand by what we believe. We will never give those individuals the shout out’s they are looking for. It accomplishes nothing to publicly argue points with a human who takes the time to write a piece trying to disprove Pibbles were nanny dogs when clearly that human would have turned out better had they been exposed to a Pibble as a child and were taught to love and respect all living things regardless of what it looks like. Our efforts must continue to be in educating, advocating and saving lives not showcasing the ignorant. Educate the people willing to learn and who have the brain capacity to understand the difference between right and wrong and who too believe abuse and discrimination against any living thing is not okay. There are better ways your energy can be spent. Shoot an email to Petsmart, Insurance companies, doggy day cares, city officials who support BSL, the list goes on and on of places our Pibble family members are discriminated against. Consider finding out who to contact when you become aware of things like this and then contact them, create a page, then a call to action then share THAT page and encourage others to do the same. There is power in numbers. We can’t expect 3 decades of negativity to be gone overnight and we will never cure dumb, so we must continue doing all we can to inspire and create change by offering solutions and attempting to hold people who abuse and discriminate accountable. We may not win them all but we can’t ever stop trying. By trying, we are and slowly will create safer and more humane communities for humans and pets. The point is, arguing with or posting pages created by low level living humans who have chosen to dedicate their short time on earth to hate is not worth your time and ultimately perpetuates their agenda by exposing more people to it.
